1. Strategic Summary

SFERA is a global cinematic ecosystem where films become not a commodity of attention, but carriers of meaning, culture, memory and future.

The project "SFERA - World Cinema Portal" is proposed as an international digital platform of a new generation, combining cinema, cultural heritage, education, archives, festivals, creative laboratories, artificial intelligence technologies and cultural diplomacy.

Unlike the classic video service, SFERA is designed not as a system of attention retention, but as an infrastructure for human and cultural development. At the center of the platform are semantic navigation, preservation of national cinematography, support of authors, work with youth and creation of an international dialogue space.

The strategic objective of the project is to form a digital cultural house of world cinema, in which each country, school, studio, festival and author get their own presentation, and the viewer gets the opportunity to open films not only by genre and rating, but also by topics, values, eras, cultural traditions and educational tasks.

Key principles

  • Cinema as a language of civilizations and a means of cultural dialogue.
  • Preservation of heritage and transmission of cultural memory between generations.
  • Support for national cinema and international co-production.
  • Education through cinema and the development of spectator culture.
  • Artificial intelligence is like a navigator in terms of meaning, not just as a recommendation algorithm.
  • Open international architecture while preserving the cultural sovereignty of the participating countries.

2. Mission and positioning

Mission

To create an international space of world cinema, in which image, history and culture become tools of mutual understanding, education, memory preservation and future design.

Positioning

SFERA - World Film Portal, which unites cultural heritage, modern technologies and films of the future.

Meaning of the name

SFERA is an image of integrity: the planet, the screen, the viewer’s eye, the space of meanings and a single system in which national cinematography does not dissolve, but becomes visible and connected.

5. Intelligent circuit SFERA AI

AI-contour SFERA should be focused on cultural navigation and creativity support, rather than on the mechanical maximization of viewing time.

  • search for a film on a topic, event, era, value or cultural task;
  • Semantic map of world cinema and links between films, authors, schools and historical events;
  • automated subtitles, translation and language adaptation;
  • educational collections for schools, universities and film clubs;
  • Assistant writer and director with a focus on structure, research and factual verification;
  • analytics of scripts and projects for producers and laboratories;
  • careful work with archives: description, tagging, context recovery and search for related materials.

6. International Cultural Diplomacy

SFERA can become an infrastructure for cultural dialogue between countries, especially where direct political dialogue is limited. Through joint retrospectives, festivals, thematic seasons, co-production and educational programs, cinema forms a space of human understanding.

Priority formats

  • "Year of Cinema of the Country" - digital seasons of national cinematography;
  • international retrospectives and thematic collections;
  • joint laboratories and script contests;
  • co-production markets and industry forums;
  • youth exchanges and film schools;
  • translation and digital restoration of culturally significant works;
  • partner programs with museums, archives, universities and TV channels.

7. Russia's role and entry point

For Russia, the project can become a tool for modern presentation of Russian and Soviet cinematographic heritage, support for new authors and the formation of an independent international cultural agenda. The strength of Russia is a combination of large-scale film archive, directorial school, literary tradition, theater, music and scientific culture.

12. Text for main page

Cinema is the language in which humanity tells itself.

Through cinema, peoples preserve memory, transmit pain and hope, discover beauty, argue with the era and create images of the future.

SFERA is created as an international space of world cinema, where authors, spectators, schools, festivals, archives, studios and cultural institutions meet.

This is a portal for those who understand that cinema is not only an industry. Cinema is the power of the image. Cinema is the education of the look. Cinema is a diplomacy of culture. Cinema is a space where a person learns to see a person again.
