Living
Village

The roots are in tradition.
Looking ahead.

The future of a territory begins with people. With a family that stays on its land. With a farm that develops. With shared endeavour in which everyone has a role.

A shared focus for work

Cooperation,
which begins
from a specific place.

SPECZASHCHITA and the Federal Village Council — rural development, cooperation and the preparation of practical proposals.

Living Village connects residents’ needs, the farm’s capabilities and the condition of the land. The first task is to select a territory, bring participants together and define a result that can be verified.

Project materials

SPECZASHCHITA

Pilot, organization of cooperation, observation and verification of the result.

Forum and rural agenda

Federal Village Council

Dialogue of farms, cooperatives, specialists and producers.

The submitted documents describe proposals for joint work. Participants, roles, resources, and commitments are determined when a specific pilot is agreed upon.

Five Directions for a Pilot

The village lives,
when everything is connected.

Each direction has its own task and clear result. Together they add up to an environment where you can live, work and transfer experience.

01

Person
and family

Residents’ needs, work, education and access to everyday services.

What to prepare

Map of the needs of the territory and agreed roles of participants. Determine what knowledge and specialists people and farms need.

02

Living
Farming

Cultivation, storage, processing and careful handling of residual flows.

What to prepare

A production-chain profile. Choose the configuration of the full-cycle biofarm based on site data and participants’ capabilities.

03

Power
cooperation

Shared services, purchasing and equipment. Joint processing and sales.

What to prepare

A framework of agreements: participants, each person’s contribution, tasks and responsibility. Start with one shared need.

04

Land
and water

Soil, water conditions, plants and living communities are the basis of sustainable territory.

What to prepare

An observation map and a measurement programme. Relevant specialists choose methods, observation sites and conditions for comparison.

05

Verifiable
Result

The initial state, primary data, and repeated observations show changes.

What to prepare

Observation-point profiles, logs, protocols and a reviewer’s conclusion. Agree on acceptance criteria and limits to conclusions in advance.

Example pilot plan

One pilot.
90 days.

Choose a place. Assemble a team. Find out the initial state. Do the work. Check for changes.

This is the proposed working model of the first cycle. The timing is specified according to the conditions of the site; the countdown begins after the approval of the pilot and the fulfillment of the starting conditions. Size, budget and access are agreed separately.
